Itinerary
Day 1. Karakol – Jeti-Oguz Gorge – Kok-Jaiyk valley (Valley of Flowers)
After breakfast, transfer from Karakol to the scenic Jeti-Oguz Gorge, famous for its striking red sandstone cliffs. Upon arrival, visit the iconic "Seven Bulls" and "Broken Heart" rock formations before beginning the trek through the valley. After 1–2 hours of hiking, reach the beautiful waterfall in the Valley of Flowers. Set up camp in a peaceful forest surrounded by alpine scenery. Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 2. Kok-Jaiyk Valley – Teleti Pass Base Camp
Today's trek follows the upper Jeti-Oguz Valley through lush alpine meadows and alongside glacial streams flowing from the Tien Shan Mountains. The trail gradually ascends toward the foot of Teleti Pass. After 4–5 hours of hiking, arrive at the campsite located at approximately 3,000 meters above sea level. Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 3. Crossing Teleti Pass – Karakol Gorge
Today you will cross Teleti Pass (3,800 m), one of the highest mountain passes in the region. The ascent takes around 2–3 hours, rewarding hikers with spectacular panoramic views of Oguz-Bashy Peak (5,200 m) and the surrounding mountain ranges. After a short break, descend into Karakol Gorge within Karakol National Park. Total trekking time is approximately 6–7 hours. Overnight in tents.
Day 4. Karakol Gorge – Ala-Kol Lake
Today's destination is the spectacular alpine lake Ala-Kol, one of Kyrgyzstan's most breathtaking natural wonders. After 4–5 hours of hiking, reach the lake at an altitude of 3,500 meters. Surrounded by rugged peaks and fed by glacial meltwater, the lake impresses with its vivid turquoise color. Even in summer, the water temperature remains around +5°C. Overnight in tents near the lake.
Day 5. Ala-Kol Lake – Ala-Kol Pass – Altyn Arashan
Climb to Ala-Kol Pass (3,860 m), one of the most scenic viewpoints in the Tien Shan Mountains. From the summit, enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of snow-capped peaks before descending into the picturesque Altyn Arashan Valley. Accommodation is provided in a traditional yurt camp, where you can relax in natural hot springs and enjoy authentic Kyrgyz cuisine. Trekking time: 6–7 hours.
Day 6. Altyn Arashan – Ak-Suu – Karakol
Enjoy a relaxing morning in Altyn Arashan, with an opportunity to bathe in its famous natural hot springs. Admire the magnificent views of snow-covered Palatka Peak (5,260 m), one of the most iconic mountains in the area. After lunch, hike down Arashan Gorge to Ak-Suu village (approximately 4 hours), where your vehicle will be waiting for the 30-minute transfer back to Karakol. Arrival in Karakol and end of the tour.
